Olmen Financial Services is a registered credit provider with a branch in KwaMashu (Durban) and looking for a candidate to fill the following position:

Debt Collector

‏‏‎We are looking for a strong determine individual, who is persuasive, and target driven. The incumbent will be working with client to collect outstanding debts for the company. Must display thorough understanding of the collection industry, its regulations, and procedures.

DUTIES:
● Negotiate payment arrangements with delinquent debtor’s accounts
● Trace and locate debtors and initiate recovery of outstanding debts
● Manage progress of assigned debtor’s accounts
● Prepare and manage external debtor’s accounts
● Educate debtors on legal collections processes
● To update customer’s records on excel and other relevant systems as payments are made.

REQUIREMENTS:
● Matric
● Computer literacy (MS Office)
● Knowledge of tracing.
● Minimum of 1 year experience as a Debt Collector
● Experience as a field tracer in debt collection in the Financial Services industry will be an added advantage
● Knowledge of relevant legal requirements (National Credit Act, Debt Collectors Act, POPPIA)
